The project I joined on my 3rd Design-Journeyman stop in Bangalore was a vertical garden. All kinds of tricky inventions and technical selfmade solutions had to be done on that living building at a place called Jaaga.

Eve and the crew were constantly working on the success of the project since I left India in August. They installed the swivelling panels for the plants and the drip irrigation system. Since then, it has been a constant process of finding the right plants for the requirements of this west-facing city wall in Bangalore which is drenched with harsh afternoon sunlight and sometimes monsoonal winds, and tweaking the custom-designed irrigation system to flow correctly. It seems like we’re coming closer to the finalization of this modular green wall and I’m looking forward to see the facade in bloom once the plants grew bigger.
Can’t wait to see the WHOLE project’s outcome once it’s ready.
